ALESSIO

LO BELLO

Internship

Alessio Lo Bello Architetto is an architecture studio in Sicily that works on a variety of architectural and interior projects. During my fourth year, I spent six months interning there, where I gained a lot of experience in both design and the practical side of architecture. I learned more about materials, how they can be applied and how they influence the atmosphere and function of a space. I also got to experience different projects and see how architects develop their ideas into realistic designs. This internship gave me a better understanding of how architecture works in practice and how different design choices come together.

During my internship, I was able to follow my own project from the very beginning: an apartment that needed to be completely renovated. I worked with both 2D drawings and 3D models to develop ideas and communicate clearly with the different people involved in the project. This helped me understand how important visual communication is when working on a real architectural project. It was also interesting to see how the architects I worked with approached problems, developed ideas and made design decisions. The experience gave me a new perspective on architecture and taught me a lot about materials, design and the process behind a finished space.
